Scope
These terms govern public use of stasiast.com and the public-facing Olympus read endpoint. Paying customers operate under a separate Platform Services Agreement (PSA) and Data Processing Agreement (DPA); those govern in the event of conflict.
What we are, what we aren't
Stasiast is the technical processor. We provide tooling — message scoring, creative remix, compliance workflow, donation rail — that a campaign uses to develop and deploy its own communications. The campaign is the publisher of record for any content it deploys through the platform, and remains fully responsible for FEC, TCPA, state synthetic- media, and election-law compliance of its own creative and outreach.
Olympus reads generated from the public form are directional: they are calibrated estimates against synthetic persona panels, not ground-truth surveys. Validate against a live human panel before deploying any optimized script.
Acceptable use
- ›Score political messaging on behalf of a candidate, committee, or operator legitimately associated with the message.
- ›Use the resulting reads in your own campaign communications — they are yours.
- ›Cite the source if you publish a screenshot or finding (“Olympus read via Stasiast” is sufficient).
Don't use the public form to:
- ›Generate disinformation, deepfake voiceovers, or content impersonating real people.
- ›Score messaging for foreign-government or foreign-national-funded campaigns.
- ›Reverse-engineer the system prompt, scoring weights, or cohort taxonomy for commercial replication.
- ›Submit at automated volume beyond reasonable individual use.
No warranty
The free Olympus read is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that estimates will translate to live persuasion lift, that backlash risk will not materialize, or that optimized scripts comply with the law of every jurisdiction in which a campaign operates. Use your own judgment and your own counsel.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stasiast’s aggregate liability arising from public-form use is capped at $100 USD. This cap does not apply to paying customers under a signed PSA, which provides its own remedies.
Compliance fortress (paying customers only)
For enrolled campaigns: the 3-Page Independent Sign-Off (Script · Visual · Segment) is the contractual gate for deployment of platform-generated creative. Each gate is a separate authentication session and produces an immutable audit-log entry. Deployment without all three gates signed is a material breach.
Governing law
Delaware law. Disputes resolved in Delaware state or federal court. If you live in a jurisdiction with consumer-protection rules that override this clause, those rules apply.
